Another NEET aspirant takes own life in Kota; 5th student suicide this month.

KOTA: A 16-year-old girl preparing to crack National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) in Kota allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan early on Saturday morning, taking the number of coaching students who took their own lives in the city this month to five.
“No one is responsible for my death,” wrote the student of class 11 in a suicide note recovered from her room in her house at Kota Thermal Power Plant Colony under Kunhari police station. Police said the victim, Sakshi Choudhary, is believed to have been under depression because she passed with an average first class in her 10th class board examinations, the results of which were declared recently.

Girl was living with her uncle
A resident of Tonk district, Sakshi had been living for several years with her uncle, an assistant engineer at Kota Thermal Power Plant, at his house, where she allegedly committed suicide. Her two sisters also lived with her in Kota. Sakshi had joined a coaching institute in the city in her 9th class to prepare for NEET-UG and opted biology in class 11th this year, said DSP Shankar Lal.
Sakshi’s family members told police she scored 60% marks in her 10th board examinations and such an “average percentage” was the likely reason for her depression. The body was handed over to her family after an autopsy.
