Day after exam, NEET aspirant falls to death from 10th floor in Kota

KOTA: A 22-year-old NEET aspirant from Bengaluru allegedly fell from the balcony of his 10th floor apartment in Vigyan Nagar area of Kota, and died on the spot late Monday night.

The incident happened a day after the medical entrance examination and police suspect it to be suicide.
Mohammed Nasid had been studying at a coaching institute in Kota for the last one year.
He had taken the NEET-UG at an examination centre in Jaipur on Sunday and returned to Kota on Monday. Nasid was staying with four friends in the 10th floor apartment, said Devesh Bhardwaj, circle inspector at Vigyan Nagar police station. None of his friends were reportedly present when he fell from the balcony of the flat from around 11 pm. He was rushed to a hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival.
Police said prima facie, it appeared to be a suicide, but the actual reason of death would be clear only after an investigation. Cops are waiting for his parents to arrive before sending the body for autopsy.
One of the deceased’s friends, Sujeet, claimed he saw the CCTV footage in which Nasid was seen rushing out of the room in anger and jumping over the railing in the balcony. Sujeet claimed he and the three other friends had gone for a haircut after dinner while Nasid stayed in the room, saying he had a headache.
